From the Garden

I have a section in this blog I am building called “Gardens” where I am collecting up all the pertinent facts and learnings about the garden itself so I won’t go into that detail here.

But I will indulge in some thoughts I have about why I garden. In a word, I garden because it is joyful. Tasty, sure, healthy, absolutely. But the excitement of discovering a cauliflower growing under a thicket of leaves is really, at its most essential, is why I will weed in the rain and keep calm and carry on in the face of garden tragedy.

Food is what connects us to the earth and if you’re disconnected from the earth, you are disconnected with life. I garden to say connected with life.
